Ha! Remembered to take the soda cans back this week. Victory is mine!

Doh, forgot to talk about Buffy season 8. I guess I should do that.

Let me state, for the record, that I like what I've seen so far. The comic format in general isn't the easiest for me to dive into because I'm not as experienced with it as I am books and fanfic and tv but it's still fun and that's all that matters.

Thank goodness that Buffy isn't really in Italy with the Immortal. That was an annoying conceit. Two thumbs way up for kickass Buffy and Xander her uber-cool Watcher. Finally, he's giving us the Buffy&Xander dynamic that's been percolating since season 2. I am amused by gigantic Dawn and tickled by the fact that she's a student at Berkeley. Maybe she'll meet up with Ryan Atwood? We never know.

We haven't seen anything yet of Giles or Willow so don't know what's really up with them. I am still annoyed by how much Joss loves Andrew and the fact that Andrew really is in charge of slayers makes no sense whatsoever. That boy can't even take charge of his own life, let alone the lives of others. The Scoobs were desperate but they weren't that desperate. Sheesh.

Military bad guys blahblahblah. I'm not really in this for the plot, anyway. Though the reappearance of Amy the Rat was amusing and I'll be interested to see where that's going.

All in all, it's fanfiction, in its way, and weighs just as strongly as a post-Buffy storyline as any of the other good post-Buffy fic that I've read. I'm willing to pay $2 a month to see where the story goes so even though my residual Joss bitterness runs deep he's still getting money out of me, the bastard.

I'm so easy.

PSA: If anyone wants to read the comic and has trouble getting her/his hands on it I'm more then happy to stop by Clem's and pick you up a copy. They guy who runs the shop is pretty okay, even if the douche-y comics fanboys at the back of the store made disparaging comments about me picking up Buffy comics. Whatever, if anyone understands what kinds of jackasses fanboys can be it's a fangirl.

Very, very, very, very much enjoyed BSG last night. There's the Lee Adama I had respect for. I've missed you dude. Glad you've gotten out of that lake of man pain and started standing up for your beliefs again. I mean, I still want Gaius Baltar dead but I agree that the man deserves a fair trial. Okay, let me rephrase that, your democratic society deserves to be upheld and giving Baltar a fair trial is one of the important things that helps to uphold that society. It's not about believing that Baltar doesn't deserve to be shoved out an airlock, it's about preserving the rights of all people, even the scummy ones.

I couldn't watch the scene with Tigh on the stand because I knew it would only end badly. The prosecutor was an idiot, everyone knows you don't put Tigh on the stand. You should've browbeaten Anders into it, he was a leader of the resistance who's clean-cut and well-spoken. Hell, you should've gotten Chief who almost lost his wife to Baltar's death order but you don't put Tigh up there. Even an idiot second term law student could tell you that one.

Speaking of, how cool was the Tigh-Six scene? You know, I'm kinda fond of this new and improved Six, the one who's thinking about something beyond Gaius fucking Baltar's pants. And they punched each other! Awesome!

I did spend the entire episode thinking about Sam Winchester being involved in the case. Man, I think I have to write more SPN/BSG crossovers. Once I get my mojo back, that's totally on the list.

Had lots of weird, depressing dreams last night. I hate that cause I always wake up in a weird, depressed mood afterwards. Thank goodness for the balming effect of the internets. You're too good to me.

Watched BSG, and YES, ANDERS was the guy to put on the stand. Or Chief. Respected, sympathetic, clean-cut, functional members of society who were leaders of the insurgency.

Also, OMG how hot is it that Anders has apparently decided to become a pilot??? Did they introduce that when I blinked a few episodes back, or is it just an off-screen decision he made since Kara died? It's especially awesome if it's the latter. Mmm mmm mmm.

Laura hurt me a little, with her plea to her old Captain Apollo. I thought she was fab throughout, and Bamber's on his game like he hasn't been in a year and a half.

Have been having my own fucked-up dreams lately. I'm tired of it. Woke up yesterday with sharp imagined pain in my breast as a result of dreaming that I had breast cancer. Which, btw, did I mention my friend/coworker Nancy has breat cancer? She's ten months older than I am.

Joy.

At first I was behind the prosecutor 100% because she was firm with Tori about the impossibility of using that whole 'the President saw Baltar with a Six on Caprica' thing but putting Tigh on the stand was one of the stupidest things she could have possibly done. Don't underestimate your opponent just because he represents a lying scumbag, moron.

I have no idea when Anders decided to become a pilot (maybe I shouldn't have tuned so much of the last few eps out) but I also highly approve! Oooo, I hadn't even considered that it was a Kara-influenced decision and if so I also highly approve. Oh, Anders.

Boo! What a horrible dream! And no you hadn't told me about Nancy and that's tremendously awful. No wonder you're having fucked up dreams. *pets & hugs*

Of course I'll pick them up for you, free of charge. I'm building cache with the comic-book store guy, after all. Plus, you know how I love sending people things. ;-)

Issue 2 comes out next week so I'll pick up that and the first one and send them off next Thursday. wheeeeee
