HA! I spent most of the episode wriggling around on my couch because Chris Eccleston's character was so the Doctor! I couldn't stop squealing. I really, really love Nine and it was all perfect! The Doctor showed up in New York and Peter insisted on traveling with him but the Doctor was tired of stupid apes doing stupid things and he didn't have time to deal with someone else's issues. Don't you know he's emo?! *gigglesnort*

I don't usually have much to say about Heroes because, well, I enjoy it a whole lot but it doesn't inspire much deep thought or fannish obsession, you know? It's fun and enjoyable and I love Hiro and Greg Grunberg and a lot of good stuff is happening and it is one of the few shows I do sit down to watch but apparently my brain only has room for one obsession, you know? And, I spend lots of time during the episodes thinking about parallels between Winchesters and Petrellis and how amusing it is that Jared and Milo went from vying for Rory's affections over on Gilmore Girls to playing characters that are really freaking similar on their new shows. Except Jared did it first (and better, but I'm biased;-). And Sam is way cooler then Peter. And hotter. And the Petrellis are like a billion times more incestuous then the Winchesters. Seriously. But then, the onscreen representations of the Winchesters never seemed terribly incestuous to me but seeing as my own brothers still get into tickle fights the level of fucked-uppedness probably has to be pretty high to have any of that show up on my RADAR.

Anyway, yeah. Doctordoctordoctordoctordoctordoctordoctor. *squirms like a puppy*

Don't mind me. I'm on the good crack. Back to editing my 'Sam gets covered in serpent guts' story.

NINE!!! I had the tv on briefly and saw The Doctor getting all mouth-covery with some guy. He looked so sexy!

Can't wait for the snake guts!

Ha! I am ONE SCENE short of being done with Chapter 1. It's flipping 14 pages long. And I still have the big intro scene to do. But that one will be fun and then omg Chapter 2 has that thing with the pool that I spent all last week flipping out about in it.

DOCTOR! *flails* We so have to indoctrinate the Baylors the first chance we get.

OMG!! Only one scene to go? *flails* so.excited.

I read the TVGuide synopsis for next week's SPN. It's very exciting.

Is this your way of saying that someone who's going to be a lawyer should't be so undignified as to tell the world that she squirmed 'like a puppy?' Because if so, you might have a point. ;-)

Sorry, couldn't resist making fun of myself. In all seriousness, this is a good question, especially as I don't think I've said anything about it. I'm split between government work and entertainment law. If I go to work for the government I'll have a steady job and won't have to work my ass off billing out hours. I'm also not fond of schmoozing people. But, I know lots of people, online and off, who are aspiring writers or the like and it would be nice t be in a position to represent them. Plus, I still dream of making tv shows one day. In my heart I long to be a producer, to bring stories to life.

So, nothing terribly concrete as of yet but it's all sorta, kind of plannish.

You think the Petrellis are more with the bromance than the Winchesters? Not that I'm really all for the wincest or the bromance of any kind, but why do you think that? Just curious. I love Peter. I really do. Which is weird, because where the Winchesters are concerned I am a Dean Girl all the way. But Peter makes me go all schmoopy in a way that Sam doesn't, for some reason.

Not that I don't adore Sam - you know, I wouldn't kick him out of the bed. :)
x.

See, first and foremost, before anything, the Winchesters act like brothers. Sure, sometimes they get a little ... intense but there's nothing terribly inappropriate about it. It is them against the world so the relationship does get a little skewed but at the end of the day they're brothers. Their interactions just don't ping my 'romance' button.

On the other hand, the Petrellis are rolling in inappropriate behavior. There's something off in the power balance, in their interactions. There's something else that's a little bit fucked up that's going on there. But that's just IMHO.

So you've got a bit of a thing for Peter, huh? The guy on Heroes I love the most is Matt Parkman, but that has more to do with Greg Grunberg then anything else. Of the Petrellis I'd probably choose Nathan over Peter but mostly because Peter seems so young he makes me want to feed him cookies and give him sisterly advice. I'm kinda strange like that. ;-)
