Dec. 30th, 2006 12:58 pmThere was so much crack last night that you wouldn't even believe it. Okay, knowing the kind of people I hang out with you just might, but still, it's still hard to believe that my head didn't entirely spin off.
There was X-Files, which is always great. We've gotten through 'Miracle Man' in the re-watch so far and boy oh boy do I want to write crossovers now. Most episodes of Supernatural are a highly reminiscent of XF but this was the first XF episode that had a lot of motifs that were strongly reminiscent of SPN (things like tone, music, setting, etc.). Now I want to write the story where Sam and Dean come upon Samual the Healer and hijinks of some sort ensue.
Then there was Jensen on Smallville and you shoulda heard that noises that
baylorsr and I were making. SV is highly palatable when you only watch the Dean Jensen bits. And there was making out in a church! I don't know why that's so exciting but IT IS! Thank you ABC Family for re-running this vital piece of television history.
To cap off the evening we watched Backdraft because I had never seen it. Well that's just a smorgasboard of hot right there, isn't it? With some extreme Billy Baldwin & Jason Gedrick nakedness thrown in for good measure. Though, I gotta wonder how many times Eric Kripke mainlined the movie while writing the SPN pilot because Kurt Russell's character was so Dean that we started calling him Dean (which, HA! I'd forgotten that was his character's name in that movie with Goldie Hawn). I feel bad that we were joking when he died but he was so tired of his life and the weight on his shoulders and couldn't they just go to the Grand Canyon for once?
The Baylors and I are horrible people and we are all going to hell. Just you wait and see.
We were massively cracked out by the time it was over. The Baylor Sister actually turned off the TV on us because we wanted to watch Jensen making out in the church again and she knew that that way lay madness. It was so much fun (and the Sister is such a spoilsport, we only would've watched the scene and made up dialogue and possibly interpreted things by way of mime a minimum of 20 times. We would've eventually passed out from sheer exhaustion, it would've been all good).
I love my new flannel pjs with the doggies on them but I suppose I have to get dressed and do responsible things like walking the Pup. I have a stack of fun books to read before classes start again (have finished Anansi Boys and am over halfway done with Tam Lin). And maybe I should buy food. Food is good.
