Nov. 29th, 2006 09:37 pmOK, me saying that I was stepping away from the internets in order to study? Was terribly optimistic considering my tendency for complete mental breakdowns. I hit a wall today and all I can do is sit here and surf the internet even though I am so behind OMG! Sometimes I really hate my brain.
Today's lecture was amusing. For class we read a case about a woman who was suing the person who sold her her new house because he didn't disclose the fact that a multiple murder had been committed there at some point in the past. As I'm sure you can expect, that already had me in a 'Winchesters have to come and salt and burn the bones' type of mood, which is always a good headspace to be in during a Property law lecture. [tangent: is there anything more mind-numbing then real estate land transactions? I think not] We get to that part of the lecture and then the professor starts talking about a related case where the court wrote in the opinion, "[T]his house is haunted as a matter of law." I about died of hysterical laughter. Suddenly there was Sam Winchester sitting beside me with this look on his face that I can hardly describe, he was bemused and startled and wide-eyed, amused disbelief. It was quite possibly the greatest thing ever.
Umm, okay, maybe you had to be there. =D
Not much to report. The highlight of Thanksgiving was stealing music from my little brother, who in turn steals most of it from his housemate, we're a family of petty thieves it's a thing. I got Robert Johnson and Soundgarden and The Rolling Stones and David Bowie and whatever else would fit on my jumpdrive.
Oh, and let's not forget the tickle fight my brothers had in the kitchen. I wish I were making that up but I'm totally not. Sometimes I think my brothers really are 12 year-old girls.
Everything worth while is so freaking hard. Stupid life, doesn't it understand that all I want to do is read fanfic? *grumblegrumble* *eyeroll*
