Nov. 18th, 2006 04:12 pmThe Big Game is today and I can hardly flip by it on the TV without having a stroke. Not watching but am completely obsessed anyway. Come on boys, win it for Bo.
I did watch ESPN's College Game Day and some stupid Buckeye had a sign that said "Wolverines Are From Canada" which had me laughing for something like 15 minutes straight. Stupid Buckeyes don't even know geography. And anyway, who picks a nut as their mascot? How wussy is that?
I watched BSG and all I have to say is how is it that Saul Tigh keeps on making me cry? Who would've thought that he would become my favorite character? The world is all askew. Everyone was pretty frakking awesome and I am very happy that Carl Lumbly has joined the cast, he's a great actor.
The Baylors and I have started re-watching The X-Files from the beginning. Wow, I still have so much love for that show. And, well, the debate is over, at least on our end; Sam = Mulder and Dean = Scully. While Sam is still kind of a redheaded woman his Mulderness is overriding. Don't worry Dean, everyone knows that Scully had the balls in that relationship anyway.
I had to be talked out of getting a credit card solely for the purchasing of Christmas presents for my friends and family. I love Christmas and I love buying people stuff and I can't afford to do that this year and it's eating me up! This is all being said as an awkward seque into the annual Christmas card offer. If you want a card from the Great White North (aka Michigan) then let me know. Last year I didn't get holiday cards to everyone on the list because I was lame but this year I will totally come through, cross my heart. I love doing stuff like this so the more people who ask for cards the happier I'll be. Since this is, of course, all about my needs.
I want it to be Christmas break already. Oh you halcyon post-finals days can't get here fast enough.

Date: 2006-11-19 01:26 am (UTC)And the game? Yeah, very wrong. So very, very wrong. But I fully agree. A nut? How non-intimidating is that? I mean, are we supposed to be scared of the nut? Cuz I don't think it's working.

Date: 2006-11-19 05:04 am (UTC)That said, "I can see it" creeped me right the hell out.
Sigh. I watched a couple of early X-Files with Leigh last week, and it was so good. I still can't decide about Sam-Dean/Mulder-Scully. I can argue it either way. And especially this season--Dean's got his Mulder on big time.

Date: 2006-11-19 05:54 pm (UTC)Yeah, the end of the last episode w/ Saul in it had me convinced that the only way out for him was death but I guess we'll see what happens. I understand your confusion, it feels like there's oodles of story that we're not getting, like they just skipped right over it or something. I've decided to handwave and not think too hard about any of it b/c surely that way only lies madness.
Early X-Files is like comfort food. It just feels so good.
