Today was one of the few days when I was actually grateful that I have to drive all over the state on a regular basis. It started out cold but by this afternoon the temperature rose, the sun came out and the sky was a deep, clear blue. Though the leaves are swiftly falling there were still enough to filter the light through a magnificent, golden filter. A great day for driving and for being alive. I imagine Lothlorien must have been like this, a beautiful, golden dream. Ha, and we don't even need special effects;-).

On the downside, I heard that 53% of Americans have faith that GW would do well during an international crisis. These numbers are up from the numbers provided by a similar poll taken in September. It's official, a large number of my fellow Americans are insane?! Do they have any idea how the majority of the world views us now? These negative international opinions stem directly from the actions of the president who I, for one, didn't vote for. Sometimes I really think I should emigrate to Canada.

Halloween Party Countdown: The party starts tomorrow night. Woohoo! I'm going up north to hang out with a bunch of drunken hooligans to celebrate this, most secular of holidays. I can't wait!
