It's not that camping was all that eventful but I still haven't had the impetus to sit down and make a whole thing about it it. However, here are some SPN related anecdotes that amused me over the weekend:

On Friday I was heard to say, "Driver picks the music, shotgun shuts his cakehole", "That sucks out loud", and "Let's shag ass out of here."

While Wrestler was sleeping had the ridiculous urge to stick a spoon in his mouth. Unfortunately my phone does not take pictures.

Passed a sign for Winchester ammo. I'm still impressed that I neither swerved off the road or made embarrassing little noises.

There are lots of motels in the U.P., more then I've seen anywhere else. It was fun trying to pick out which ones Sam & Dean would stay at.

My brothers ripped on my music choices. Had a horrifying moment of realization when it dawned on me that Sam might be the same sort of music snob that the Big Lug is. On a side note, the Big Lug keeps on making little derogatory comments about the kind of music that "girls" listen to. I'm not sure what kind of music that's supposed to be, considering that I listen to everything from rock to rap to bluegrass to classical to showtunes to you name it I probably like it. I should've kicked him in the teeth more when he was little.

The last thing played on a fraternal iPod as we got back into town was Led Zeppelin, specifically 'Ramble On', a song I've put on my SPN mix. No I didn't pick it and no I didn't say anything geeky about it but boy did I have a lot of silly thoughts. Zeppelin Rocks! *high fives Dean*

Finally, as much as I love my brothers I'm glad I'm not living in a car with them because the Big Lug can be a whiny bitch and the Wrestler leaves clutter and mess in his wake. I am now more impressed with how Dean and Sam haven't killed each other, especially considering the huge arsenal they have in their trunk. Anyone who wonders why Sam had to go to college has clearly never lived in his/her/its family's back pocket for any extended period of time. Shoot.

Not that the weekend was all SPN fun. I'm ashamed that I never even thought about the possibility of wendigos in the woods or selkies in the lake. Though now I'm tempted to write some kind of story because Green Bay is kinda gross and I can already hear Dean bitching in my head.

Watched Narnia with the Baylors last night (we've od'ed on our Lost marathon, sad but true). We all agree that we'd rather go to Narnia then Middle-earth because Narnia is so bright and shiny and Middle-earth, while wonderful, is more grungy. There's something kind of comforting about the washed-up, Disney-fied version of life.

We also talked about various post-Apocalyptic scenarios and as fun and exciting as some of them were we realized that what would really happen is that the three of us would hole up somewhere with a dvd player and a generator and we'd spend our days watching dvds with a mess of cats and one coward dog. We'd have a garden and some goats and chickens and be perfectly content for the rest of our days. That'd be nice, as long as we, well, you know, survived the initial Apocalypse.

As long as initial apocalypse didn't mutate the chickens into horrible, man eating life forms with varocias appetites and BO.

If the appetites don't kill us then the BO'll get us, eventually. *smirk*
