liptonrm_backupHad a very relaxing weekend of book reading and gardening and sitting out in the backyard during a gorgeous afternoon watching the Pup loll about in the sun. 'Twas very nice.
Also, for the record, I can highly recommend The Hallowed Hunt by Lois McMaster Bujold and Throne of Jade by Naomi Novik. But then, I knew they'd be good when I picked them up at the bookstore. It's hard wading through the dross that makes up 90% of any given fantasy section but when you find authorial gold it never fails to deliver. I think I'll go out tonight and buy Black Powder War and have a little more Napoleonic War draconic fun.

baylorsr's Fangirl Jeopardy. She's a freaking genius, I'm just sayin'. =D
I am all sorts of antsy today and I'm not sure why. More then anything I want to get the hell out of the office. Packing up my car and taking the Pup camping would be even better. I've been all sorts of weird for days, though. For instance, on Saturday I was in the store trying to talk myself into buying this cute new outfit when I had this strange panic attack and I couldn't contemplate paying any money for anything. It's kind of like this knot of stress in my stomach that doesn't go away but I have absolutely nothing to be stressed about and I am just SO WEIRD!
So, yeap, antsy.
Pues, that's it, my concentration's blown. I think I'll spend today thinking about the Plaque!Apocalypse. For some reason gardening always brings that particular imaginary world to the forefront of my mind. Strange, I know. =D
