Had a very nice birthday dinner with the fam last night. The Big Lug even came in, though that was mostly due to the fact that the Wrestler is shipping off to Basic next week and the Mum wanted us all together before that happened. We had italian and I got to laugh at and with my brothers so good times were had by all.

Afterwards we had cake at home and everyone sang and it was good. Later on the Big Lug and I had a heart to heart that was very nice. He talked about his new girl and lots of stuff. All I'll say is that my brothers never cease to amaze me. They're great guys.

Have spent the morning googling myself. What, I'm bored. ;-) I found this hilarious rec for one of my Smallville stories (I wrote a total of two of them, Smallville was not a fandom I flirted with for very long). This is the story of which the reccer said, and I quote, "This one confused me--anyone here really understand what's going on?" It's that strange mixture of 'Well, I can tell it was well written, even though I didn't have the slightest clue what was going on.' that amuses the heck out of me. I am mysterious! Yet talented! YAY!

Oh boy, going out to lunch with some people from the office. Will I freeze up? Will I do something dorky? Will I be a general spazz? Only time, and lunch, will tell. dun dun duuuuuun

Maybe she didn't understand what AU meant? Or maybe I'm just much smarter and therefore was privvy to the mysteries of your story. (Which I liked, btw.)

Well, you're definitely smarter but I got the feeling that if it wasn't concretely spelled out with exposition that dropped anvils on his/her/its head then anything would be considered too confusing.

I am such a snotty BOFQ. Oh, the humanity. *snort*

Well, naturally. It's a trait I share with many of the objects of my affection/admiration :-)

This may surprise you, but I've always wanted to live in R+J's Verona Beach. The clothes. The cars. The guns. The religious imagery.

Okay, so maybe it won't surprise you. ;-)

There's something so gritty and seductive about Verona Beach. It doesn't seem like the sort of place that would call to me but I am so right there with you.

Dangit, I think it's time to revise my sekrit pretend world, again.
