It's been an ... interesting day. The sky is bright and the sun is shining cheerfully. I wore a new shirt that needs an extra hook and eye like nothing else, and work things keep on getting bollocksed up. See, interesting. Not bad or frustrating, okay, maybe a little frustrating but I think I've figured out how to work my way around most of it and if official people don't like getting official emails from my real_name hotmail account then they'll have to take it up with the company IT guy who still hasn't fixed my work email. So there. *sticks out tongue*
The Da bought me roses, which was very sweet of him. They're the closest one can get to maize 'n blue from a florist and that's more appropriate then I can ever explain. See, maize and blue are the U-Michigan colors and I am a 4th generation UM alumnus. It's one of the things that the Da and I share and now I'm getting all sniffly thinking about it. *surreptitiously wipes eyes*
I share this day of days with two of my dearest friends, Seattle!Erin and the Baylor Sister. I couldn't ask for better company or better friends. You both know me better then I know myself and you still stick around, I couldn't ask for anything more. GROUP HUG!
Finally, I want to say thank you to all of the wonderful friends who have sent my birthday wishes. Opening up my f-list to see a wealth of good wishes made me happier then I imagined possible. Ya'll are the greatest. ANOTHER GROUP HUG *glomps*
ETA: Dinosaur Comics has declared that today is New Bike Day. I heartily approve!

I'm such a big dork, I just want to skip down the sidewalk and tell everyone I see that it's my birthday, except instead of smiling and patting my head like they would have when I was 5 everyone would just look at me funny so I'm keeping all of that glee on the inside and it's like the best high ever.
