Apr. 10th, 2006 01:03 pmHad to take care of a law school snafu this morning. It's all good, everything was cleared up, just like I thought it would be, even if my mother went off the deep end about it. A word of advice for anyone in college/grad school/law school/etc., always make nice with the secretaries because they're the ones with the real power who know how to do everything. They truly control your destiny.
On the way back to the car got a random 'how you doin?' < /Joey Tribbiani> from some guy on the street. I was amused and gratified. Stuff like that really lifts a girl's spirits.
Which reminds me of the random guy I kissed in a Borders. It's an amusing story and also not all that amusing considering that's the only guy I've ever kissed. Seriously, random encounters are my best friends. =D
Sang in the Easter Concert last night. It went off fabulously and I got to sing lots of high notes, always a bonus. A couple hundred people attended and afterwards I was so wiped out that I came straight home and went to bed. Will now go through choir-withdrawl until who knows when. I hope we get together again before Christmas.
Got my Baggins on yesterday during church. Was feeling a little closed in so went for a walk. Found this great trail that wound down by a river and when that ended and I saw some green grass further on through the trees I plunged through the underbrush, skirt and heels and everything. I kind of felt like the hobbits trudging through the Old Forest, no matter how far I climbed I was always lead me back down to the river. Finally made it to the grass (which was swampy and wet, which I should've realized) and turned back around, nary an Old Man Willow in sight. It was fun.
And if I kind of hoped that instead of a swampy valley I ended up in Narnia instead, well, there's always the next curve in the path that may yet lead me there.
