Apr. 8th, 2006 08:36 pmApparently today has been fantasy movie day at ye ol' homestead. The Da finished watching FotR:EE and then started watching Narnia. The Mum has never seen either of these all the way through so she'll come in at random times, ask us what's going on, watch a little bit, lost interest and wander off again.
Got a very good book today and I haven't been able to put it down. It's A Red Heart of Memories by Nina Kiriki Hoffman. It's a contemporary fantasy full of good characters and interesting encounters, very character driven. It's just ... satisfying.
While the end credits for FotR:EE were playing I sighed and commented, "I love this music." The Da's response was, "I don't. It's too sappy." This is an opinion I never knew he held. Well, the man can't be right about everything. ;-)
OMG, the Mum went out today and bought me a cheap planner. You know, the kind with a calendar and a note pad that clips together. It's kind of extraneous considering I already have a PDA. It's the thought that counts.
The Wrestler has taken over explaining Narnia to the Mum. Unfortunately he's feeding her a line of bull. I'd better go whip that boy into shape.
