So Hungry...
Jan. 6th, 2004 10:12 amI hate this diet. Okay, I was ready to hate pretty much any diet, ever, but this one is really annoying. I'm hungry all of the freaking time and I'm already sick to death of just eating meat and vegetables. Course, I'm already losing weight, but I also have this gnawing pit in my stomach that just won't go away. Oh, and don't forget the massive headache I got yesterday, which I'm sure came from low blood sugar. My Mum better appreciate the sacrifices I make for her.
Breakfast: liquid egg substitute, glass of V8, and 2 slices canadian bacon.
Snack: Turkey roll-up w/ lime mayonnaise.
Lunch: Chopped salad w/ tuna, sugar-free Jell-O.
Snack: Celery w/ low-fat cheese.
Dinner: Who the hell knows.
Still thinking I'll have to cheat a bit today, just to save myself from a gnarly headache.
It was a real bitch driving to work today. Everyone decided they had to go 20mph under the speed limit, even though the roads weren't that bad. Plus, I was late, so that made me even pissier. I'll also be starting my one and last class today, that is if the professor in her great wisdom decides to show me mercy and give me an over-ride into the class. I have faith, it'll all turn out;-).
On the good side, I got to talk to the Brazilian Brother last night. He called to clear up some difficulties that have arisen with getting a transcript from one university so he can apply to another. Oh yeah, that reminds me, I talked to a scion of the Osmond family yesterday, an actual nephew of Donnie and Marie. I had to fax something to the B.B.'s mission office and when I called to verify that it got there he's the guy I talked to (you know, since everyone else spoke portuguese). If it were a relative of someone I'm actually a fan of, that would have been much cooler, as it is it's still funny and weird and strangely noteworthy;-).

Date: 2004-01-06 07:05 pm (UTC)But as long as we're talking menus, here was mine for the day:
Breakfast: none
Snack: Otis Spunkmeyer brought in some samples, so I had a piece of chocolate cake. I was hungry!!!
Lunch: We ordered Olga's. I had a Grilled chicken olga, and a side of pizza snackers. (The olga was great, but I don't think I share my former boss's rave reviews of the pizza snackers...)
Dinner: none really
Snack: triscuits and imitation crab meat
Ok, so we don't really have any food at the apartment... or didn't. Now Becky went shopping, but most of it's lunch stuff, and TV dinners are really not striking my fancy at the moment. I'm kinda feeling guilty for my lunch. Then again, it's pretty much all I've eaten all day...
I need to eat more vegetables. My diet's seriously lacking. Thought about just having salad and fruit for lunch everyday from the food bar at work, but I think I'd get sick of it after awhile. Doesn't help any my schedule's all screwed up. Number one reason people have bad dieting habits is because of their lack of time. Seriously...
OK, sorry... I gotta cut this short now... homework to do, bed to go to, oh and freakin shower to take so I can get up at some god-awful hour of the morning and get my ass to work early without conflicting with Becky's bathroom usage, so that I can make my 40 hours and still go to school. I tell ya, this semester's off to a great start... -H

Date: 2004-01-07 07:05 am (UTC)I agree with you about dieting, but we all make sacrifices for those we care about;-). I figure I can give up a little food now if it makes Mum happy in the long run. I just really like to bitch about it;-).
