Mar. 2nd, 2006 06:00 pmHave set up the Mormon Mythbusters aka the Mormon FAQ aka
peanut_cult. So, if anyone ever asks you if mormons worship jellyfish you know where to send them. =D
Which is not to say that jellyfish aren't worth worshiping. I think they're pretty dang cool, personally.
Just so you know, a Fangirl Apocalypse makes everything better. And
hiyacynth, did I send you the last part? I can't remember if I clicked your name and it's been bugging me. Yes, my mind does like to latch on not-so-significant minutiae and never let it go, why do you ask? *snort*
So the Others aren't at all what people were speculating they were and Ethan was even creepier then he was before and Danielle kinda needs a big ol' hug. There, I think I've covered everything. ;-)
Seriously, what the crap is up with the Others? I can't wait to find out. Obviously the Dharma Initiative is ebil in some way (which we, meaning I, already knew seeing as it was founded by U-Michigan people *says with pride*). The real question is do the Others have some way of getting off of the Island and if they do does that mean that the plane was crashed on purpose? Is it fate or the subtle machinations of evil men that brought us to this pass? Only time will tell, so long as the writers don't pull a Chris Carter.
Danielle was very well used in this episode. She's still crazy but you feel for her more and more. And I love that we still don't know if the people she killed were actually infected or if she was the infected one or if it was all just assorted craziness. It does fun things with the brain.
And wasn't faux-Henry Gale so cute when he was trying to play Locke? Shame on Locke for letting him get to him, even a little, but it's okay because we know that you can out play any player, anytime, John. Mr. Eko was downright scary when he was confessing to the prisoner. Yes, he's very sorry that he killed those men because he did so on impulse but he would kill again if it were righteous to do so. Plus I think he's making a chapel on Beach, which is just kinda cool.
I am intensely curious but am enjoying the ride too much to want to demand answers. It's all just good, honest fun. Except Sawyer but he's the kind of fun that you wouldn't want anywhere near honest.

Date: 2006-03-03 03:12 am (UTC)Re: Lost... I also felt like giving Danielle a hug, but I grow more and more annoyed with her/the writers every time she appears. Every single time she shows up she gives some key bit of information that she's had for ages. Why didn't she explain that she had returned Claire to the camp, say, WHEN she did it? Why not just walk her into camp? Or tell them at the beginning of THIS episode? I understand about dramatic release of information, but that woman makes some bad choices. Most of the info she shares would have benefited HER as well as our heroes if she'd revealed it in a more timely manner. I don't get it. I mean, I do, but it bugs me.
And now I am off to the bathtub to see if I can't get my skin to accept some hydration. I'd watch ER but it appears I don't give a damn about Carter (or very many other of the characters anymore, but Carter in particular has bored me greatly the last few years).

Date: 2006-03-03 07:18 pm (UTC)Rational Me:"Cyn must be awfully busy, poor dear. Work should be abolished."
Irrational Me: "That could be, or you could have forgotten to send her that part. You were in a bit of a tizzy."
RM: "That's impossible. I'm sure I sent it."
IM: "But what if you didn't ..." on and on ad infinitum. *facepalm*
Yes but I'm sure we're supposed to handwave most of Danielle's inconsistencies and secrets seeing as she's crazy and all. Or, at least that's what the writers would like us to do. Proving, once again, that fangirls should rule the world.
