The internet is pissing me off!. I should be able to download Rome without bit torrent or anyone else giving me grief! A hearty wag of the finger to you all.

The Mum seriously needs to stop watching CNN. All she can do when it's on is rant about politics and how horrible the Iraq War is and how we should all become isolationists and the rest of the world can screw itself. I am just so frakking tired of hearing her rant about it. I think sometime around the last election I decided that politics and shit like that can just screw itself. I can't care anymore, there's not a damn thing I can do so why should I spend my time getting all worked up about everything when I could be reading fic or mucking around fandom? Can't fix it so might as well start planning the hobbit commune so that we can avoid it.

I think I used to care. It the world's own fault that I've been driven to a life of political and social apathy. Society can frakk itself, I'll be in my bomb shelter.

Oh, and get this, my printer doesn't work anymore. I went out and blew $50 on ink cartridges only to come home and have the printer not print. Grrrr, urge to kill rising ...

Oh yeah, the Wrestler was sworn into the armed forces today. He leaves for Basic at the end of May. I read the other day that the army is instituting kinder, friendlier basic guidelines. The Wrestler's going to be awfully disappointed, I think he was looking forward to the torture.

Is there a Rome-sharing LJ comm? Because, you know, *cough* not that I know anything about sharing comms, but if I did, I might recommend you search for something along the naming lines of "rome_episodes" or what have you. Which you may well have already done, being an intelligent person quite fluent in the internets.

I have stopped watching the news because I find it so distressing. And you know that I'm serious about that.
