Oct. 18th, 2005 05:02 pmHave stolen borrowed
baylorsr's computer in order to make this on the fly post.
Yes, am still alive. There is too much to even sum up, so let me outline how I've spent the past week and a half.
* Had a marvelous weekend with
hiyacynth. Much fangirl goodness was experienced.
* Spent Monday - Sunday of last week painting The Wrestler's bedroom in preparation for his imminent return from Chile (ie. tomorrow evening).
* Enjoyed last week's tv muchly, especially Lost and Rome. Finished West Wing season 3 dvds and am planning to dip into M-I5 at next earliest opportunity.
* Discovered that 'Shapes', an X-Files season one episode was extremely boring. Probably why I don't remember having ever watched it before. Ever.
* Watched unhealthy amounts of the Food Network.
* Read 3 or 4 books as well as Annie Proulx's short story Brokeback Mountain.
* Sang in church choir for stake conference (FYI: A mormon 'stake' is roughly equivalent to a catholic 'diocese'). Was one of the best choral experiences I've ever had.
* Am beginning to prepare to move back into my parents' house. Bleh.
Love you all muchly and miss you terribly! *kisses*

Date: 2005-10-18 09:22 pm (UTC)Seriously. Fangirl Weekend was key to my acceptance of my grief. Not that there hasn't still been weeping. But a lot less. *whaaaaa*
M-I5 is so so so good but you will never look at french fries the same way again. And you will immediately need to add season 2 to the top of your queue because OMGWTFCLIFFHANGER!!
"Shapes" and "Space"... YAWN. Me, I watched season 2's "F. Emasculata" this weekend. Remembered why I didn't like it and therefore didn't rewatch it. A) It's really gross with giant exploding zits all over everywhere. B) Even though the FX are laughably bad, it's still really gross. And C) Scully is a complete moron and is directly responsible for at least one death.
Glad you had such a good singing experience. And sorry about the move back home. But it is for the future good of you, which I'm in favor of. /most awkward sentence ever

No, really, doors are always open and let me know if you need help moving stuffs.

This is so fascinating. You really should sit me down and explain it all to me one of these days. Or, better, send one of your nicely dressed young men to my living room for intense discussions.
yay!

Date: 2005-10-20 08:17 pm (UTC)I hate it when they make Scully a completel moron. She's a doctor! Why doesn't she ever act like one?! However, gross stuff I can handle, it's boredom that is my greatest enemy.
Miss LJ sooooo much! *hugs just 'cause*

Date: 2005-10-20 08:21 pm (UTC)So very, very true. Though there are one or two of those chefs who I would like to have a private cooking lesson from.
Or, better, send one of your nicely dressed young men to my living room for intense discussions.
Honey, those poor boys wouldn't know what to do with you. Or mayble I'll just be oh so cruel and send some of those nicely dressed young women. *evil grin*
