And a Happy Thursday to you all.

This has been an ... interesting week. Let's leave it at that, shall we? Less bitching and more avoidance. You know my personal motto, avoid, avoid avoid. I should cross-stitch it into a pillow, or something. ;-)

Now, for what you're all really here for,

Wow, this episode kicked last week's butt. These two were meant to be told as one whole episode so the pacing was definitely wonky with both of them but I don't mind because this way we got a wonderful Michael episode out of it all.

How much do I love Michael, let me count the ways. It's always so heart-breaking to see the Michael of flashbacks, the one who hasn't been completely worn down by life and the bad things that people have done to him. He wasn't going to give up rights to Walt because he's his son and responsible parents just don't sell their kids away. He wanted what was best for his kid and Susan (that bitch!) used that to manipulate him into signing his kid away. You know that that was a turning point for him, that he'd been living with the regret and bitterness and anger of that decision for all the years in between. There are reasons why Michael lashes out and blames the world for his problems and that is one of them.

I can't not love that man. He loves his son so much and he's willing to do anything to make his life better. He'd finally reached a point where he was relating with his kid in a good, honest way and then had him ripped away, again. Gah. Just breaks my heart.

Harold Perrineau deserves awards for the work he did in this episode, it was breathtaking.

Great POV shift to let us see what else was going on inside the hatch. Very Boomtown. Locke really did believe, just for that moment, that he was the one who Desmond was waiting for, you could see that surety on his face. The fact that he wasn't served to raise more interesting questions about what Desmond was doing down there. After this I would so be willing to follow Locke into the jungle because he'll get things done. Jack is bound and determined to sit in those caves till the end of time, dealing with problems as they arrise but Locke wants to find all the answers before they become problems. Always better to go with the proactive guy. Though the Hurley hippie commune is still awfully appealing.

Kate's kind of a dumbass, isn't she? As the criminal mastermind and half-elf raised by rangers she's kinda slow on the uptake. Though much was forgiven when she stole all those candy bars. At least the woman has some of her priorities in the right place.

OMG! Charlie and Aaron and the faces! That was the cutest thing ever. But he really needs to stay away from the heroin in the Virgin. I know she's holy and all but wouldn't smuggling heroin in her statue be considered blasphemy rather then a miracle? I'm just sayin'.

People around the interweb have been saying that the shark had the weird octagonal symbol on its tail. I didn't really notice because OMG! Killer Shark! Sawyer get out of the damn water!

Us at Fangirl Central join many of you with our worry over Jin's survival. Seeing him alive on the beach was great (aawww, I love his poofy hair) and the tension of seeing the Others coming after him was a great place to end the episode. J.J. is all about the crack.

Next week's is gonna be gooooood.

I have SlimFast for lunch and some curry chicken for dinner. Here's hoping that the dietary indiscretions of yesterday will be forgiven by the greater karmic forces that rule the yin and yang of my body. Or some crap like that. =D

Though did you notice that all the food had that symbol on it? Am I the only one who wonders if she isn't now infected with whatever it is, from eating their food? (Which totally doesn't explain how Desmond isn't, but whatever.)

Michael is soooo good. I love him. He's moving up my ladder of island boyfriends very quickly. Especially since he shot the OMGSHARK!@!!!!

This last week is best forgotten, dietarily. And next weekend, too, prolly :-)

The food had that symbol on it too?! Creepy ...
(and this is what I get for watching at Fangirl Central. So many little clues missed)

Michael's totally the shark killing boyfriend and that makes him one of the most important one's to have. Poor, broken Michael. If Susan wasn't dead I'd engage in the bitch slap-fight to end all bitch slap-fights.

Next weekend will definitely be all about forgetting dietary anything. I only have my sugahmomma for a few days and I intend to take advantage of the situation. *schemes*

I love you and yet I fear you.

Never did I think to hear those to phrases used in conjunction to describe me. Sweet.

"avoid, avoid, avoid" you say? Yeah, that would seem to be my motto lately too, MUCH to my own detriment. If I did not try to hard to avoid a certain subject on the phone (convinced of the worst), which has been plaguing me for some time, I could have saved myself a lot of emotional trauma this week. Stupid me, stupid, stupid, stupid! The moral of the story: Know when to avoid, and when to shut up and LISTEN!

Oh hell yeah I did. What with the "Mike!" and the CPR and the 'I'm so your jilted lover and I'm getting off of this raft because my HEART IS BROKEN!' and the phallic pontoon of love and tender glances.

Yeap, the slash just wrote itself. I think I need a cigarrette now.

And the hug just after the CPR...and the angsty silences...and the pain...:-D omg, yeah.
