Aug. 9th, 2005 01:25 pmAm BACK! At least until Thursday. On Friday I will leave to go camping once again. This time with the Big Lug and a bunch of his friends. We'll be going to Wilderness State Park which is on the Straits, the very tippy top of Michigan's Lower Peninsula where Lakes Huron and Michigan meet. And considering the fact that the Da and I did all of the work this weekend as the Lug slept I will be spending a bunch of time lounging in the sun on the beach while he scurries around and cooks meals and things of that nature.
Okay, that probably won't happen, but a girl can dream. Either way, it should be fun.
Will have a comprehensive write-up of the weekend, with pictures, posted tomorrow. Wanted to have it up today but 12 hours worth of driving in a weekend tend to take a lot out of a girl. Suffice it to say that much fun and relaxation were had, along with our fair share of misadventures. The weather was grand and the Lake was beautiful and I didn't really want to come home.
Though, the ground was getting awfully hard and the Pup was getting a little melancholy and I was starting to miss the Internet quite a bit. I had even started composing livejournal entries in my head. It was something else.
Let me just say, here and now, that as much as I complain about Michigan in the winter, and boy do I complain, nothing beats the beauty of a mild summer's day on a northern Michigan lakeshore. If I got to choose my heaven, that's how I'd want it to be.
