How much longer can this week get? I swear, I think back on everything I've done this week, and it feels like Monday was a freaking year ago. I woke up tired and now I have one of those annoying little sinus headaches that just won't go away. Not bad enough to let me go home but just painful enough to annoy the heck out of me.

Gah, enough complaining. Had a movie night with Heather and Dan last night, we watched that Tomb Raider movie that came out this past summer.
This is an okay movie as long as you are willing to shut your brain off and not think about the gaping plot holes that inhabit the entire screenplay. So, I mostly thought the movie was okay, once I was able to turn off the portion of my brain that controls rational thought and replace it with the part that likes to go "Ooo, shiny!";-). Plus, it's always fun to see a strong female character and while we get a fair helping of NearlyNaked!Lara and Sexy!Lara she does kick all sorts of ass. Also, Ciaran Hinds never fails to do a credible job and there was certainly enough shiny, pretty pictures to keep me occupied, I have a thing for Scottish (or Irish, or British, or Welsh) men so Gerard Butler was wonderful to look at (and listen to) and I've loved Djimon Honsou ever since I saw Amistad (a movie that deserves more appreciation then it gets). Cradle of Life was exactly what I expected it to be, mindless entertainment. I wasn't disappointed because I never had high expectations in the first place. The whole point of the exercise was to give me and my friends the chance to hang out, and that's just what we did. Oh, and according to Dan, the moral of the story is that love don't do shit, guns do, I think that pretty fairly sums up the overall message of the movie.

One more thing. Is it wrong of me to entertain myself by finding all sorts of slashy undertones during the viewing process? Nah, didn't think so;-). Slept through class today, but that gave me the chance to go to Panera for lunch. I love Panera and since I was feeling sufficiently hobbity I got the mushroom soup instead of the black bean. Is it just me, or are fungi just about the creepiest organisms on the planet? I don't mind eating them, usually, but something about the living organism just creeps me out. I must have watched too much X-Files when I was a kid.

Anyway, counting down the hours until I can get out of here. Doh! I haven't even bought my tickets for Return of the King yet. Bad, bad *slaps wrist*

How can you buy tix so early? I'm surprised they have them for sale already! Danielle and I watched the same movie last week and both loved it, better than the first. It doesn't take a whole lot to keep me entertained when Angelina is filling the screen. *mama mama!*

I can buy tix because they're selling them, that's all of the reason I need;-). After all, the movies only two weeks away.

*snerk* Yeah, I'm beginning to feel the same way about the beautiful Mr. Butler. Love the mindless entertainment;-).
