Mar. 29th, 2005 10:00 amI've done some actual work this morning. Wow, go me.
Watched a taped episode of Sex and the City last night. It's the one where Nix shows up on his motorcycle (except not in leather! Why wasn't he in leather?!) and then shows up again in a dark suit with a white shirt that's open at the collar and all I could do was whimper. And then he danced and I just about exploded. Ron is so Nix in this it isn't even funny. It was all Nix on the rebound after breaking up with one of his many post-Cathy girlfriends and he's all charming and debonair at the rich parties that he still feels the need to attend for some reason and he's looking for that person who can fill thatWinters-sized void in his life and you just know that it's all going to end in tragedy. But he's really hot while doing so.
I hear that Nick Brendon and Bradley Cooper will be starring in a new comedy this fall. That news makes me kind of giddy. I love it when my favorite actors team up to do projects together.
Had a rather productive evening last night as I also finally got over a story hump that had been driving me crazy. This character has been talking in my ear for weeks, giving me his whole back story but not actually informing me of what he wanted me to write down. We finally worked out our differences and I'm hoping to need to ask for a good beta-ing here in a little while. That and the location of the Hail, Mary and Our Father prayers translated into spanish.
And, because I saw someone else do it, here is a list of what tv shows I spend my nights watching. Cut-tagged for your convenience.
Monday - Whatever movies/tv shows I taped and haven't gotten around to watching.
Tuesday - House (9PM, Fox)
Wednesday - Lost (8PM, ABC)
Thursday - Nothing in particular
Friday - Nothing in particular
Saturday - Nothing in particular, though I might try and catch that Little House on the Prairie mini-series on ABC
Sunday - Deadwood (9PM, HBO)
Otherwise I can be found watching the Food Network, HGTV, Law and Order reruns on TNT or USA, various cartoons (Kim Possible, Fairly Odd Parents, Static Shock, Teen Titans, Family Guy, Futurama) or anything shiny that catches my attention.
Isn't my new icon just the prettiest thing ever?! It's so happy and spring-y.
hiyacynth is so the greatest Luz an Lipton could hope for.

The only person who can fill the
Winters-sizedvoid in his life turns out to be a little Asian woman. Does anyone know Grace's backstory? Why do I keep imagining her as some kind of Nationalist Chinese secret agent on the run from Mao's secret police?no subject
Date: 2005-03-29 06:03 pm (UTC)Yes, I seem to recall such a story. And may I just say that my own viewing had quite the similar effect and also included falling on the floor and staying there as to be closer to the tv screen?
I am completely fascinated by Grace and the kind of woman she must have been. And, you know, there would have to be something large and dangerous in her past, something to give her an edge and set her apart. I can just see Nix at some swanky New York party desperately trying to get drunk when he notices her with a subtly amused look on her face and how she seems to stand apart from the people who are surrounding her, a little disconnect that draws him in because on a subconscious level he's reminded of Dick even though the two have very few characteristics in common.
There's such a story there to be written.

Key info about me: I am the most gullible person on the planet. If you say it, I'll pretty much believe it.
