Am feeling ridiculously silly and girly today and it's totally the weather's fault. I look out my office window and see a bright expanse of gloriously blue sky. The weather is so warm and sunny that I don't even need to wear a jacket. I'm decked out in sandles and a bright aquamarine skirt that is short and thin and something I would never wear in the winter. I feel cute, which is a nice escape from the normal.

I go on and on, mostly to myself, about how un-girly I am, how I prefer pants to skirts, hate pink with an unholy passion and dislike carting purses of any size or sort around, but then days like this happen and I totally have to eat my words. Mmmmm, words taste kind of like chocolate, yummy.

Have begun subsisting on Easter leftovers. Today's delicacies included Easter basket candy, Easter eggs and a ham sandwich.

Random questions for the cosmos: Why are cute shoes generally uncomfortable and why are comfortable shoes generally not cute? Why don't paratroopers fit into easter eggs? Why does The Canterbury Tales make the Big Lug think of bunnies? Why won't the producers of Lost hire me? Why don't I have a Yay! It's Spring! icon? Why am I not outside?

I definitely should. I bet it's gonna take some lying, though. Stuff like, "Yes Mr. Abrams, of course I love Alias and think Jen Garner is the greatest actress ever. Of course Kate isn't a raging Mary Sue. No, I'm certainly not a fangirl who wants to stalk Dom on the beach. Why, do you ask? Of course I promise that I won't go around hugging Jorge Garcia at every possible opportunity and I would never start drooling at the sight of Naveen Andrews. Of course not."

And then I'd get all my friends hired and we could be cabana girls for the cast, or something.

Hee. I love Spring. It always feels like the world is waking up again.

And if The Dreaded Weather decides to turn cold again I might go all over the top and villainous like Alan Rickman in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and call off Christmas or something dastardly like that.

This is, actually, the exact answer that I came up with. My brother and I then spent at least 10 minutes riffing on The Cadbury Tales. Lots of bouncing chocolate bunnies and the like.

And yes, I am impressed and a little frightened that you so easily saw the connection. And yet strangely not surprised. Perhaps the Sharing of the Names bestows some sort of mystical insight.

Well, there is a guy on Friendster who friended me because he wanted to friend at least one hundred people with our same name. It's quite amusing to read his friends list, especially since they organize it alphabetically now.
