My Jackson!Boss spends all day on the phone talking to her political cohorts. She's a member of a city council and it is humorous to sit outside her office and hear her talk about the petty politicking of a City Council member of a rather small city. She gets all worked up over stuff, it's rather entertaining.

I went and gave blood last night right after work. Giving blood is always interesting, I always worry about drinking enough water beforehand and the nurse is always hit and miss, sometimes he/she finds the vein right off the bat and sometimes it's a struggle; sometimes I am bruiseless and sometimes I am bruised. The vein was quickly found but I knew right away that I would wake up with a bruise this morning, and I did. Free cookies, however, make any pain and hassle worth it.

Okay, so
Things are really getting interesting over on that thar island, not that they weren't interesting before, but you're really starting to see how the characters are beginning to settle and the way in which they will interact. It's really going to be fascinating to see how things all begin to come together.

I was so excited to see Mira Furlan and boy did she do crazy, psycho, 'I've been alone for 16 years' lady really, really well. She was creepy and sympathetic all at the same time. Even the Delenn/B5/Vorlon jokes that were running through my head did nothing to ruin the effectiveness of her work. It's amazing how many stories there are on this island and how tantalizing the hints and clues are.

I could so tell that this episode was written by a former Buffy scribe, a fact which is in no way a bad thing, just funny. There was this one moment where they cut from Sayid strapped to the bed/torture device to Jack and Michael mock-seriously talking about something that was going wrong (ie their golf game). It was such a BtVS moment that it made me giggle. Also, the Sayid/Nadia storyline was chock full of the same sort of almost over-the-top-but-not-quite melodrama that made BtVS so feaking compelling. Good job David Fury, you not only wrote a most compelling episode of Lost you have also made me want to run out and buy Buffy season 2 with my nonexistent funds.

So, yeah, much love for Lost and I can't wait to see the next episode because OMG CHARLIE IS GOING TO DELIVER CLAIRE'S BABY!!!!!1!!!! So much love.

I read this morning that ABC has changed their Alias scheduling. Since Desparate Housewives is doing so very well in its Sunday night spot they've decided to move Alias to 9PM Wednesday right after Lost (come January). Two hours of JJ Abrams in one day, my brain might explode from the angsty tension. It's a really good thing The West Wing is such ass this season.
