Aug. 5th, 2009 08:55 amAs a postscript to last night's post of foodie love, after class I stopped off and got some Chinese take-out and when I got home I proceeded to eat it faster than I've ever eaten anything before. I was just that hungry and it was oh so very yummy. I topped it off with some marzipan ice cream from Ben&Jerry's. It is delicious and I would eat it all the time if I could, that and their cinnamon bun ice cream which is quite possibly perfection in icey creamy form.
I scream, you scream, we all scream for non-fat tofutti dreamsicle. nom nom nom nom
However, the point of this post is not food. Sad, I know. However, nearly as great as tasty food is former presidents being awesome. First off, Jimmy Carter wrote a fantastic op-ed piece that, amazingly, makes me love him even more. It is entitled The words of God do not justify cruelty to women and I kind of want to print it out and nail it to a number of eclesiastical edifices, Luthor-style. Jimmy Carter, you're my hero (which sounds facetious but is still true).
Also, Bill Clinton is a P-I-M-P PIMP. Bill Clinton has his problems but, man, you can't help but love him. This image pretty much says it all:

Last but definitely not least, yesterday was President Obama's birthday. Happy belated Mr. President! He brought Helen Thomas cupcakes because it was her birthday too. Aawwwwww

Some days it's good to be a political fangirl. =D
