Book I—Chapter I: A Long Expected Party
( When Mr. Bilbo Baggins of Bag End announced that he would shortly be celebrating his eleventy-first birthday with a party of special magnificence, there was much talk and excitement in Hobbiton. )
Next Time: Fellowship of the Ring Book I—Chapter II: The Shadow of the Past. Revelations abound about the things creeping in the dark and cutting the grass has never been more dangerous.
