Sep. 25th, 2009 07:19 pmI knew I recognized the title of last night's episode. Oh, Show. There are so many reasons why I love you.
Have had a very trying day. On the upside I think I'll be seriously helping the Wrestler and the Philosopher plan their wedding. Well, it'll be more helping the Philosopher plan the wedding since the Wrestler has fits of glazing over anytime preparations are brought up. Oh, Wrestler, you are very much your father's son.
On the downside I got to listen to the Mum say absolutely vile things while we were making salsa. It's going to come to a point where she's going to make me choose sides and hers isn't the side I'm going to be on. There is a depth of irony around all of this because her current reaction is exactly what happened when she married the Da and, well, we've hardly seen his family since I was 10. Someone's going to have to have a 'Come to Jesus' talk with her soon and I don't want to be the one who has to do it. I'm hoping my father will be the one to handle it. After all, he knew she was crazy when he married her. [Trufax: when he told her that he was going to graduate school a whole 30 minutes away she started crying so he proposed.]
But *waves hands in air* whatever. The important news here is I GET TO HELP PLAN THE WEDDING. And I might be able to convince them to have it in California and everything.
Also, I watched the Flash Forward pilot this afternoon. I spent the whole thing saying things like 'HI SULU ILU BB' and 'HI GENEVIEVE HI' and 'OMG ITS COMMODORE NORRINGTON' while playing an ongoing game of 'OMG It's That Guy!' Now I kind of want to run out and get the Robert J. Sawyer book, mostly so I can find out what in the world is going on.
Well, I apparently don't have much going on this Friday night. These things do happen.
ETA: I bought this dress for the Year of Weddings. If it looks as good on as on the page it'll be the first knock-out dress I've ever owned. I am hopefully anticipatory.
