Dec. 2nd, 2008 02:08 amOMG SNOW!!!!!!!!11!!!1!!
I love the first real snow of the season. At this point it's beautiful and magical and I don't even mind driving a couple miles through it to have Sunday dinner with the folks. It's amazing to look down the dark street, the snow falling and the world blanketed in white. Christmas lights always look best when reflecting on a dark, snow-covered night.
Though it is pretty crazy how it's been dumping down for nearly two days straight. And yet, Michigan being the place it is, we just go about our business as normal. YAY SNOW!!!!
Just you wait, if it continues like this I'll be sick of it by January. But I have my fingers crossed for a white Christmas. *crosses fingers*
Speaking of the holidays, I'm still sending out holiday cards and would love to send one to everyone who reads this. Just head on over to this handy dandy post and I can make at least one of your holiday card wishes come true.
I realized today that my finals are a whole lot more spread out than I thought they were. Which is kind of a good thing considering how
baylorsr and I just started working on a whole new cracky project that's taking up many of the neurons that I need for outlining/studying. Stupid crack being more interesting than real life and distracting me and stuff.
This also gives me time to start making Christmas cookies. Yay baking! Hey, did I tell you guys that I've finally conquered the pie crust? I've finally conquered the pie crust!!! When I was making the last batch of dough on Thanksgiving something seemed to click in my brain and it came out wonderfully! My baking happiness is unbounded.
Gah. Just because I'm feeling rundown doesn't mean I should go read fibromyalgia articles. They always make me feel all icky and weird. Man, I wish I could afford therapy, it'd be nice to have someone to talk to about all of this. Someone who's not my mother and doesn't say things like "You're too young to be so debilitated." Yes, really, tell me something I don't already know. *eyerolls*
Okay, it's officially the middle of the night and I'm going to go watch some more of a program on Athenian Democracy on PBS. It's good to be a nerd.
