(no subject)

Since I was a big sucking vortex of boring last night (and on my 5 year lj-versery, no less) here are a few things that are amusing me this morning:

* Apparently, the History Channel thinks that everyone who's watching their shows in the morning qualify for medicare. BUT shows on ancient religion and technology are so interesting!

* Show is on tonight. All Hail!

* Tom Brokaw and Jon Stewart have a mutual crush on each other.

* Baked Cheetos and Kozy Shack rice pudding are the food of the gods. The gods, I tell you! Ambrosia ain't got nothing on 'em.

* The Big Lug sent in his absentee ballot and on it he wrote in my name for a local judgeship. I got a vote, awesome!

* My ridiculously tall heels. I love them and they are fabulous and I get compliments galore, but every time I get a compliment the next thing everyone asks is, "How can you walk in those things?" \0/

* The gorgeous fall weather continues here in Michigan. I need to get outside and enjoy it while I can.

In that vein, what kinds of awesome, amusing things are happening to you all today? Let's gather our rosebuds while we may, my friends, and celebrate the good things that we have.

But, OMG, this was the ep where S.E. Hinton was on set! That's pretty awesome. ;-)

ION: The Wrestler called me about a half hour before Show started. He just wanted to talk. It's funny how now that my brothers aren't living together anymore they call me a whole lot more than they used to. Oh, boys. We shot the breeze. He talked about Ranger Challenge, made a joke about people being imcompetent at continence, and said he wants to write a book about a military coup in the U.S. Let me tell you, it was very interesting to discuss plotting fiction with my little brother. It's something I think about a lot but haven't really had cause to share with him. Heck, I think that idea would make a fascinating book, or mini-series. And he's intelligent and even-handed enough to pull it off.

There you go, if you see a book co-written by us in the distant future you'll know when it all started. =D
