Thank goodness, the heat wave finally broke. I was getting so sick and tired of sunny, warm weather. It's just not natural. Bring on the rain! I love rain!

I think I've read as much about res judicata as I'm going to be able to this evening. The class is behind, anyway, so if I don't read the entirety of this week's assignment I think I'll be okay. Plus, we're still doing the bits that I got last term.

I had wicked insomnia the past few days and it all culminated last night in my complete inability to sleep. I tried, boy did I ever. I wasn't helped by the fact that my little oven of an apartment didn't want to cool down even though I caved and turned on the A/C. At 6:30 I got up and left. I spent some time driving and then stopped for a bagel. My plan was to go to the bookstore when it opened and stay there all morning because today was the day of apartment inspections and I never like to be around when people are poking around. I actually fell asleep in the bookstore parking lot, woke up two hours later when the car was getting hot and went to a nearby park where I dozed for another half hour, or so. Finally went back home after that and slept until 5PM. It was quite the random experience. And sleeping in one's Pontiac Grand Am is not terribly comfortable.

I've started writing something rather ambitious, at least for me. I love the story and it's all I want to do so I've purposefully had to back-burner it, at least through this weekend. My first office memorandum is due on Friday and I really need to focus on that style of writing, as boring as it is. I would much rather be writing about Winchesters. Stupid law school.

Watched Heroes last night even though have been ambivalent about the new season. I was a little disappointed with the finale. The thing about that show is that even though I'm not really attached to any of the characters the writers plot it in such a way that they make me intensely curious to find out what the hell is going on. So I know I'll keep on watching. It's an entertaining way to spend an hour, if nothing else.

Wow, I am the Oxford Dictionary definition of boring. Somebody stop me before I put you all to sleep. ;-)

Apparently I'm feeling talkative tonight. Damn, but it never rains but it pours around here. Sorry about that, ya'll.

Saturday was Hobbit Day. Happy Belated Baggins' Birthday! The lot of us at FGC got together for tea and biscuits (I made very yummy shortbread) and a viewing of Fellowship of the Ring. Even though we all met because of LotR I don't think we'd ever all sat down to watch any of the movies together, so it was very nice. We spent the first half of the movie playing a whacked out 'If the Fellowship was comprised of characters from Supernatural who would they be?' We decided on the following:

Frodo = Sam
Sam = Dean
Merry = Frannie
Pippin = Charlie (FYI, these are two original characters that [livejournal.com profile] baylorsr created and while I know you all don't know them just trust me, they're so Merry&Pippin)
Aragorn = John
Gandalf = Pastor Jim
Gimli = Bobby
Legolas = Ash (business up front, party in the back)
Boromir = Hendrickson
Elrond = Ellen

Now you know what I need? An icon of Sam, Dean, and the Impala with the captions, 'Frodo, Sam, and Bill the Pony.'

People keep on talking about all of the new tv they're watching which is cool. I'm afraid no matter how many times people reccommend Chuck or Friday Night Lights I'm never going to actually sit down and watch them. Chuck might have Adam Baldwin and be from Josh Schwartz but the concept annoys me and I'm sure Friday Night Lights is as great a show as people are saying but I just don't have it in me to watch another show about high school adolescent drama.

Speaking of other unpopular fannish opinions. I don't think I like the Doctor very much. Cut for Spoilers )

Wow, I used a lot of words to describe something that could've been more easily summed up in a succinct, "Like the guy, would never, ever want to fuck him." I was destined from birth to be a lawyer, wasn't I? *hangs head* ;-)

If I have any more random thoughts tonight I'm sure ya'll will be the first to know.
