The adapters should get medals they did an extraordinary job. It's a great movie for its own sake, it's right up there with Prisoner of Azkaban and that's saying something. Two thumbs wayWAY up. Thank you David Yates.
Did anyone else maybe say something like, "Oh, Sammy" out loud in the theater during the scene when Harry was angsting about being evil and turning into Voldemort? Just me, huh? Okay, then. =D
It's no wonder that my only HP stories are Ron POV. I love him, like, a lot.
Tangentially, is it really necessary to cut for spoilers as regards a movie that was based on a a popular book that's been out for a number of years? I mean, if people don't know the plot already they probably aren't reading your livejournal. I'm just saying.
Before the movie I witnessed two adults having a fight and felt really bad for their little girl who had probably been so excited to go see a movie with mommy and daddy. Then, not 3 minutes later I heard her parents lecturing her about how she shouldn't cry every time people got into an argument. That if she cried everytime people argued she'd be crying all of the time and sometimes Daddy just gets frustrated and needs to be upset. I wanted to march right over there and yell at them to not be such selfish twats and if they didn't want their daughter to cry in public then maybe they shouldn't freaking yell at each other.
Assholes.
However, after getting home and making dinner I heard kids playing around outside of my door. At one point the cutest little curly-haired kid was peeking in at me through my screen. I waved at him and he peeked some more and I waved some more and it was kinda adorable. I kinda wanted to give him candy and play with him but parents rightfully get a little nervous about their kids talking to strangers.
Wow, it suddenly got really freaking windy outside. Maybe the Dementors are coming. That would be ... unpleasant. Kinda cool, but unpleasant.
