Jan. 17th, 2007 04:02 pmI have a complete inability to focus. Man, I hope I get this out of the way soon or else I'm screwed. Slept through class today (note to self: when you're turning on the alarm be damn sure to flip the right switch), which, WTF brain, that's the second class of the semester, we can't be starting up with this kind of shit. And now what am I doing instead of reading CivPro? Why, reading SPN fanfiction, of course. It's all Kripke's fault, the bastard, for making his show so appealing.
OK, yeah, fine, it's my fault, whatever, the fact remains that all I want to do is sit here and read about Sam&Dean.
In related news, yesterday in Torts my professor went off on a momentary tangent. I think he noticed someone wearing a Purdue sweatshirt because he started asking him where he was from and he was all. "That's right around the corner from Lafayette [Indiana, the home of Purdue University]. My son is going there, majoring in sport's medicine. It sure is an ... interesting place." All I could hear in my head was Dean saying it was a "funky town" and I had to put my head down on the desktop in a thankfully-not-futile attempt to control the hysterical laughter that nearly poured out. It was just, OMG, you guys, teh krazeh is starting to take over.
After seeing Kripke's thank you message to the fans on the s.1 dvds I have the strongest desire to write him a letter thanking him for bringing us all of the crack. I never want to write showrunners but he was just too adorable for words. I understand, now, why it seems like he's reading our livejournals because he's one of us and not us as in the general geek fanboy/girl population but one of us, the 'lj-having, fanfiction-writing, fandom-squeeing' fans that make up our little niche of the internet.
Tomorrow is Thursday, I love Thursday.
