Last night was the Night of TV. Okay, TV and grocery shopping but grocery shopping is dull even if I did buy ice cream.

So, television. I am now the proud viewer of two episodes of Veronica Mars and yes it is a good show. Is it my new obsession? Who knows but it is engaging and the acting is first rate and I can't wait to find out who killed Lilly Kane so it's doing everything it needs to to make me watch, so that is good.

Prisoner of Azkaban was playing on HBO again and I flipped in and out a few times. Any man who carries chocolate around with him and considers it the cure to dementor attacks all things is quite possibly the perfect man and I must find one. There also must be a movie made with all of my redheads in it. In some perfect universe there is a movie that stars Rupert Grint and Damian Lewis and Alan Tudyk and Scott Grimes and Gillian Anderson and it would be beautiful and charming and I would die of happiness.

Also popped in The Last Patrol and watched Webster being Webster. Having Colin Hanks play Lt. Jones is unbelievably meta and rather delightful. The Spawn of Tom (as I used to call him back in the day when he was on Roswell) is a good little actor, I like him. I enjoyed seeing Matthew Settle be Speirs rather then Jacob Wheeler and am impressed at how talented all of my boys are. They can all play pretty much anything. Except Eion Baily, he always plays Webster but he plays him so well that he gets special acting points in my book. =D

Going to see Batman Begins tonight. Am very excited.

Michigan strawberries have just burst into season. I'm hoping for a bumper crop this year that I can freeze and enjoy for months to come.

The Dork Meme

because [livejournal.com profile] hjcallipygian tagged me.

(Random Note: You know, this is kinda tough because most things that certify my as a dork to the outside world are not dork-like in the Great World of Fandom. Very, very tricky, precious)

1. When I was a freshman in college I wrote a term paper that commented on Nietzsche's philosophical beliefs through the analysis of Mulder and Scully's characterization. I am both disappointed that the paper has been lost to the Trashbin of Time and happy that I need not ever be embarrassed by what I wrote back then.

2. I enjoy organizing and alphabetizing books/dvds/cds a bit too much. I will happily not only organize other people's possessions but will give a discourse on my own personal system while so doing whether the captive party is interested or not.

3. One of my earliest memories is of me, wandering around a room pretending I was Penny, Inspector Gadget's niece. The shameless self-inserting has only gotten worse with age.

4. I am prone to over-thinking most everything. For example, even though I was inspired to go see Kingdom of Heaven primarily because I wanted to make Orlando Bloom feel better I came away from it with all of these ideas about what Ridley Scott was trying to say and if such high-minded ideals could actually work in the real world and on and on and on. If there had been anyone with me he/she/it would have gotten quite the earful.

5. I don't wear my socks around the house for fear of getting them all stained and dirty. This is particularly dangerous at my parents' house because it boasts mostly wood floors and it's mostly a bitch to get them completely clean. However, I also don't wear them around my own carpeted apartment and would much rather curl up with a blanket to warm up my feet then actually put socks on.
