Frosty Days
Sep. 30th, 2004 01:53 pmWoke up this morning and there was frost on the roofs of my neighborhood. The air was crisp nearly to the point of cold and the sky was a pale, delicate blue.
Last night, as the minutes counted down to the beginning of Lost I could feel myself getting more and more excited. It's so much fun to once more have a show that effects me so much in a good way. As the show began my phone rang, and I ignored it. If people want to call me at 8PM on Wednesday they're just going to have to settle for my voicemail. I was really getting into the episode and then not two minutes later my phone rings again! It was a commercial this time, so I run over to pick it up because the Da occassionally gets Very Important Phonecalls. It turned out to be the Democratic Party (or some affiliate) asking me to donate to John Kerry's campaign! I know how important this election is and I'm willing to put in a couple bucks to the cause but don't call me during Lost!
(I'd make a joke here about changing my vote, but that's just something I can't laugh about, not right now when the whole election is so serious and the possibilities so frightening.)
I think I need some chocolate or a nice afternoon stroll or, perhaps, both.
