Another Monday Hangover
Feb. 23rd, 2004 01:34 pmI'm sitting here, eating carob malt balls and drinking diet Vanilla Coke. It's not the most exciting of past times, but then, I'm not the most exciting of people;-). The reason the malt balls are carob instead of chocolate is because the only place to get soda and snacks in the downtown area in which I work is a health-food store across the street, hence, the carob;-). It's not so bad, really, not very chocolate-y but kind of maple syrup-y, so it all balances out;-).
I watched the SAG's last night because I am officially and award show junkie (I believe ho might be the more accurate term;-). It was fairly boring as award shows go but I did get to see Billy Boyd in a kilt, so the night was not a complete waste. Oh, and LotR won for best ensemble cast, which is the award I've been wanting them to win, so all i right in my world;-). The most entertaining part was during the pre-show stuff when the Mum found out that the cast of Law & Order was nominated for best ensemble in a drama series. I realized last night that she's a real Jerry Orbach fangirl, she practically squeed every.single.time he came on the screen, it was so funny. Parents, they're always surprising you;-).
Did some hard core spanish translating yesterday at church. All I have to say is that it's not as easy as it looks;-). I'm supposedly on spring break this week. I've never understood why universities call their February break 'spring' break. Tradition, it boggles the mind.
Stay warm!
