I got this cool new icon today, all thanks to ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
marigoldg and created by baylorsr. It's just the niftiest;-). See, I wrote a nice little story for marigoldg's wonderful hobbitfic challenge and so now I have a nice, shiny new icon to show for it. Plus, it's the Gaffer, and who doesn't love Gaffer Gamgee?;-)
For those of you interested in such things, the challenge generated some wonderful, high quality stories that I would recommend even if I wasn't among the participants. There's great stuff by the creme de le creme and I'm just shocked, bewildered and overwhelmed to be amongst them. All of the stories are archived here and I know there's something there for everyone. (Unless, of course, you're not a hobbit fan. But, really, how is it possible to not be a fan?;-)
I'm still trying to decide what I'm going to do this weekend.hlgraban and Andy are probably going to see 50 First Dates on Saturday and I'm torn between going and not going. See, on one hand, it's an Adam Sandler flick and I'm not a huge fan and on the other hand my friends will be there (and I don't get nearly enough Andy-ness in my life) and Sean Astin is in it and, well, yeah, hobbits;-). And, believe you me, I'm more then shallow enough to go see a movie just because of a pretty face;-).
Happy Friday the Thirteenth! Come on, we all know it's really the luckiest day of the year. It's just the international conspiracy of something or other that has lead us to be enslaved by the superstitious traditions of the fathers. Throw off the chains of the oppressors! Hee hee, conspiracies are fun;-).
