Christmas Eve Day
Dec. 24th, 2003 09:04 amI was told yesterday that a friend of mine (Hi Erin!) looks forward to reading my blurbs, so now I feel obligated to make sure I update my dear livejournal. Okay, so it's not an obligation, but rather a pleasure;-).
I also have to let people know that I'm finally emerging from my RotK induced haze. I've seen it twice, am planning to see it about a billion times more and hopefully I'll be able to continue as a functioning member of society, even though my heart and mind still reside in Middle-earth.
Happy Holidays to all and Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it! Strangely enough, it hasn't truly seemed as if Christmas is really happening tomorrow. Perhaps it's how my life has changed as I'm moving from school into the work-a-day world, maybe it's because both of my brothers are in foreign countries, leaving the holiday a smaller and emptier then it has been in years past. I miss my brothers, their absence leaves a very real hole in my life, but I am determined to enjoy this holiday because I love and miss them. This is only a little season, after all, and soon they will both be home.
I finally began the arduous task of baking Christmas cookies, have to get plates out to the neighbors, after all;-). I'm still searching for the perfect sugar cookie recipe, one which isn't inordinately hard and which makes a delicious sugar cookie. The ones I made are good, don't get me wrong, but they're just not ... perfect yet. Aaah, the road to baking perfection;-).
My best wishes and prayers are with you all! Happy Holidays and remember Christus Natus Est!
