A Winter's Night
Dec. 13th, 2003 01:32 amFirst off, thank you so much to all of the people who sent such wonderful wishes for healthfulness. They were most appreciated and made me smile through the wooziness. I'm back to being my normal, semi-chipper self, thankfully, only the cough is hanging on, but I'm sure it will be gone soon enough;-). Thank you, my wonderful friends!
It's been a rather full week. I got some horrible news on Wednesday, to add insult to injury. Apparently, back in October I was disenrolled from the class I've been taking. I wouldn't have even found out if I hadn't called up the financial office to find out about my tuition payments (there was something very wrong with the bill and it was horribly cryptic). ( Rest of Story Here ).
Sooo, hoping I can go in and fix everything. I have almost finished the frelling class, after all;-). However, there was some good news on Wednesday as well, I went and picked up my Return of the King tickets. Yay! So happy about that and hoping I don't do anything like die before the 17th rolls around;-). So excited, can't wait...
I topped off the frigid Friday evening by going to the office Christmas party all the way in Troy. The food was a little tough from being kept under heat lamps till everything was ready and no one thought to let us order dessert with the meal, but besides those two little quibbles it was a good time, really;-). I actually met a lot of people who I only ever talk to on the phone, the restaurant was really nice and the food was really very good.
The best news of the day, though, was that I got to talk to my youngest brother on the phone. He was flying out from Salt Lake on his way to Antofagasta, Chile to serve his mission, so I won't see him for another two years. It was great to talk to him, I've missed him a whole lot and I'm so happy for him at the same time. It's amazing how fast we all grow up, he's always been my little brother and now he's off to have adventures of his own. The thought makes me all nostalgic and weepy, but in a good way;-).
Let's start the chant. Four more days, four more days, four more days...
