The Ides of March
Mar. 15th, 2004 09:57 amIt's been an ... interesting weekend. The little brother came home and now we're all trying to learn how to deal with one another again. I'd forgotten how self-righteous and opinionated he can be, but seeing that he comes from an opinionated family, I don't know why his own stubborness is just rubbing me the wrong way (I have no idea where he got that self-righteous streak from, it's pretty frelling annoying, let me tell you what). Don't get me wrong, I love the big lug, it's just gonna take some time for all of us to get used to one another again. Life is just crazy that way;-).
I stayed up late last night watching the end of season one of Alias. Oh my gosh, that was just the coolest thing I've seen in, like, forever. Sloane killing Emily, Will's torture, Jack dealing with the CIA mole, Vaughn getting stuck in the explosion, Sydney meeting her mom, Dixon confronting Sidney. Aaah, I wanted to scream. In fact, I had to keep shoving my blanket in my mouth to stop the squeals and screams before they happened. DVD truly is the greatest TV watching format there is, no commmercials, you can watch a whole season from beginning to end, it's wonderful. I can't wait to get my hands on season two and I'm so totally buying both of them when I get some money. I knew I really liked this show after the asylum episode with John Hannah, but I never thought I'd love it so much. Just like I never thought that I would find Jack Bristow to be such a sympathetic character or that I would actually feel so much for Sloane and then learn to hate him even more. It's official, I'm a junkie.
I really don't want to get anything done. I've been so bleh this whole weekend. No motivation, no desire, no ganas to do anything productive. Is it Spring yet?
