I slept for about 10 hours yesterday, all told. Wow, I don't think I've gotten that much sleep for quite a while, it felt wonderful. Sleep definitely goes on that list of things I love to do;-).

I've been immersed in the Napoleonic Wars a lot lately. I just finished reading both Master and Commander by Patrick O'Brien and Sharpe's Rifles by Bernard Cornwall. They're both adventurous, fun books and I decided two things while reading them. First, I need to buy the DVD of Master and Commander:FSotW as soon as it comes out (Billeh!) and I think I'm in love with Patrick Harper. Those gruff, drunken Irishmen, gotta love 'em;-).

I'm also just about half way through watching Alias: Season One and I now understand why people love this show so much. It took a couple episodes to really enthrall me, but wow, once it did it just didn't let up. I can't wait to see what happens next, but nobody spoil me! The discovering is just way too muc fun;-).

Just got a nice little check so that I will now have a little bit of money when the little brother comes home. Now we can go see RotK and then go get some grub and then buy some stuff and maybe even purchase a monkey. Come on, admit it, owning a monkey would just be cool;-). Though, I'm not sure how well The Pup would react to that turn of events. Hmmm, chaos may ensue...

Have a brilliant day! And stay warm!

So you finally realized that Jennifer Garner is super hot and that's why people watch Alias? Yes, that's the reason. Don't try to pretend it has a good plot or something.

I would love to own a monkey. Think it would clean the dishes for me?

Of course the monkey would do the dishes for you, if you trained it right and fed it lots of bananas, though not the banana in your icon 'cause that one would probably scar it for life. It could be your helper monkey!

Yes, Jennifer Garner is hot, but I have to admit it was an episode in a Romanian insane asylum that got me all interested in the show, what with the craziness and the torture and John Hannah (who I adore) that did it for me. I also adore Dixon and am afraid that he's going to die or become bitter and disillusioned or something horrible like that;-).

Hey! Alias kicks ass, but not just because Jennifer Garner is hot! There are also some pretty cute guys in it! Michael Vartan who plays Vaughn is pretty cute, the guy who plays Will is attractive (though not as much to me), and Vaughn's CIA agent friend Weiss is really cute too! I wish I could remember what his name is, he was in Felicity... back in the day when I actually watched that- ugh. But seriously, besides there being lots of pretty people in it, there really is a pretty good plot going on... but it gets so complicated, it's reminiscent of X-Files in the good ol' days! That's why I own Season 1 and 2 of Alias. It's a great show, but you really have to watch the episodes a few times to understand everything that's going on, cause it goes fast! And they have all kinds of cool spy gadgets, and awesome disguises and fake accents and kick-ass action, not to mention- double-life! Kinda like Batman in a way, isn't it? Tragedy struck, and Sydney vowed to get revenge, so she became a double-agent complicating matters ten-fold, because no one except her dad and the CIA know the entire truth! And he works as a double-agent as well! Of course her friends know absolutely none of this, and hey, on top of all this, she's going for a Master's degree! Eek! And you thought I was nuts! Anyway, Alias is a brilliant show, and it's about time you realized it! BTW, Dixon does experience some tragedy, everyone on the show does, but true to his character, he sticks with us. And I'll say no more than that. Sloan meanwhile, just may be the most conniving straight-faced villain I've ever seen. I seriously don't know what to think of him anymore! Except that he's incredibly good at fooling people (possibly even better than "The Magnificent Bastard"!). OK, so, long long comment I know, but you must understand, Alias rocks! And when you're ready, Season 2 is right here for your viewing pleasure... (BTW, Abrams is very fond of cliffhanger season finales.)
