Winter is Cold, and Bitter
Mar. 10th, 2004 09:32 amI slept for about 10 hours yesterday, all told. Wow, I don't think I've gotten that much sleep for quite a while, it felt wonderful. Sleep definitely goes on that list of things I love to do;-).
I've been immersed in the Napoleonic Wars a lot lately. I just finished reading both Master and Commander by Patrick O'Brien and Sharpe's Rifles by Bernard Cornwall. They're both adventurous, fun books and I decided two things while reading them. First, I need to buy the DVD of Master and Commander:FSotW as soon as it comes out (Billeh!) and I think I'm in love with Patrick Harper. Those gruff, drunken Irishmen, gotta love 'em;-).
I'm also just about half way through watching Alias: Season One and I now understand why people love this show so much. It took a couple episodes to really enthrall me, but wow, once it did it just didn't let up. I can't wait to see what happens next, but nobody spoil me! The discovering is just way too muc fun;-).
Just got a nice little check so that I will now have a little bit of money when the little brother comes home. Now we can go see RotK and then go get some grub and then buy some stuff and maybe even purchase a monkey. Come on, admit it, owning a monkey would just be cool;-). Though, I'm not sure how well The Pup would react to that turn of events. Hmmm, chaos may ensue...
Have a brilliant day! And stay warm!

I also adore Dixon and am afraid that he's going to die or become bitter and disillusioned or something horrible like that;-).
