Entertainment Crack, vol. 4
Mar. 9th, 2004 09:08 amDo you like to see violence without a plot, do the epic battles between space aliens excite and astound you, then this trailer is for you. In the same vein as Freddy vs. Jason Paul WS Andersen, director of such 'great works' as Mortal Kombat and Resident Evil brings us the trailer for Alien vs. Predator. I'm not quite sure what I think. I'll let you all make up your own minds.
I love you Batman. I really, really do. If I were going to be a superhero I'd want to be just like you, except without the tragedy and the angst and the brooding and...wait, without those attributes I wouldn't be Batman, I'd be George Clooney. Nooooo! *snerk* There is actually a reason for this whole superhero introspection becaue a description of Batman's new outfit has been leaked to the folks over at Dark Horizons and it sounds good. I'll admit it, I'm excited. Check it out.
Speaking of comic book superheroes, Kevin Smith has a new movie coming out. True, it has nothing to do with superheroes and everything to do with love and loss and parenthood, but...just work with me here, ummkay? As part of his work promoting his soon to be released film Jersey Girl, starring Ben Affleck, Liv Tyler and George Carlin, Mr. Smith sat down with Ethan Nahte over at Hero Realm.com and had a little chat. You can see it here as
Do my eyes deceive me? Is Elijah Wood actually going to be working with Peter Jackson again? Be still my beating fangirl heart. You can read the intriguing words for yourself and then come back and we can all squee together;-).
I love books, I love reading, I can't express how much they've improved and enhanced my life. On that note, I can't help but need to share the release of a book that I'm going to read the first chance I get. The Last Light of the Sun is by that master of fantasists, Guy Gavriel Kay, and for that reason alone would I buy it and devour it. I'm giddy with anticipation and highly recommend any of his works, each is so far above the bulk of the fantasy novels you can find at the local bookstore that they can hardly be classed under the same category. You can find a quick summary and reviews of the book here at Amazon.com and a better summary along with information on Mr. Kay's book signing tour can be found here at his authorized website.
I hope your Tuesdays are full of chocolate and happy thoughts!
