I am completely alone in the office this morning. There's nothing much to do and noone around to bother. It's kind of boring, but I suppose I'll take boring office stuff over 'exciting' office stuff any day of the week;-). The exciting stuff tends to be a little to heart-attack inducing for my own enjoyment;-).

I had a boring Mardi Gras yesterday. Up here in the Great White North we don't celebrate with licentiousness and wanton displays of public behaviour. Instead we eat pacszkis, a Polish pastry that's comparable to a jelly doughnut and is only sold that one day a year. I always find that difference to be rather amusing, instead of Saturnalia we get fried sugar;-). It all balances out somehow, I suppose;-).

I spent nearly an hour yesterday looking for parts of my computer just so I could play some Sims. I've been having a craving for a little while now but the computer that has the game on it has been in pieces on my bedroom floor. Putting it all together again was my Spring Break gift to myself;-).

I hope everyone in MI gets outside to enjoy the weather this week, it's supposed to become downright springlike. Huzzah! I can't wait;-).

I blame "holidays" like Fat Tuesday for Michigan being a state full of fat people. Since they only sell pacszkis on this day, we have to buy dozens and stock up on them. LOL

Danielle is going through Sims withdrawal as well. Until I get my new power supply, no gaming for either of us. :(

Oooh, I've been feeling Sims cravings lately, too! Heh heh. Thanks for reminding me; I'd better get some playing in now that I have time. :)

I told myself I was NOT shelling out the money for a paczki, so I figured I wouldn't be getting one. (I had brownies anyway, yum.) But lo and behold, when I get to work, what is sitting on my desk the moment I get there? A paczki. Raspberry too. So of course I had to eat it. And then there were more later, when the big exec meeting got out. Had half a lemon one. I love lemon! Add a few brownies on top of that. Yup, it was one FAT Tuesday. Oh well... it's only once a year, right? Course in MI, Fat Tuesday might be two or three times a week, unofficially of course... Wow, does our state every get screwed over. I heard we're 2nd fattest in the U.S., and 6th highest in smoking. Can't remember the other stats, but I know we have a high rate of heart disease and health problems. Oh, and in case anyone doesn't know this, which I highly doubt, we've got the second highest unemployment rate in the U.S.! Ugh...

You can never, ever get enough of the Sims. It's an addiction, Danielle and I should start a twelve-step program, or something (since it is all you guys's fault that I'm addicted to it at all;-).

Yes, Fat Tuesday really does live up to its name, doesn't it? I wonder what we would all look like if we had only been born in New Mexico... ;-)

Yes, yes, must play! Play as much as you can because soon you will have no time at all. Of course, my problem is I usually play The Sims instead of doing productive things like writing papers or doing my taxes. I think procrastination should be an art form;-).

See, they're just facillitators. They practically forced those pacszkis down your throat!;-) Yeah, the health stats for MI are pretty gruesome, I blame winter when all one can do is sit around and eat and watch TV, especially if one is too poor to have a gym membership.
