I'm Healthy!
Jan. 22nd, 2004 03:20 pmSo sayeth the doctor and so believeth myself. No, that's not in reference to my mental health which, be assured, is just as skewed as normal;-).
I've really been enjoying the fantasy/SF movie ideas that have been pouring in. Hence, in that same vein, here is my list of movies that I will kill for, or perhaps donate money to in the vain hope that someone will make them.
1) The Dark is Rising Sequence by Susan Cooper. I've been dying to see this in movie form since I read the books in high school. Now that I have Lord of the Rings this is next on my list.
2) The Wizard of Oz By L. Frank Baum. I can hear you now: "But there's already a Wizard of Oz and it's a movie classic. We can't remake a classic!" I too love the original movie, but I'm bucking for one without the music and with an emphasis less on the cutesy and more on the reality. I want a little girl Dorothy and non-cutesy Munchkins and especially no more songs!
Oh wow, my mind just blanked out;-). I'll add to the list as titles and ideas come to me. Some good news, one of the books on my list, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe has been optioned as a movie and filming has begun in New Zealand. Sometimes dreams do come true;-).
I get to cook a meal tonight. Yay! We're having company who specifically requested Mexican food, so I'm making beans and rice and what we call tacos/fajita things (where I was there were no fajitas, you just put everything in tortillas anyway;-) and I already made the tres leches cake (I was ecstatic when I found a recipe, I love this cake) and I'm so happy to be doing this you would not believe!;-)
I'm so weird, I'm sitting here eating powdered cocoa out of a bag and loving every minute of it;-).
